Licensed Work

As well as working on original product concepts for ‘Own Brands’, during my career I have also been responsible for working on many ’Licensed’ projects for both product, packaging and marketing materials including in-store articles, catalogues and television commercials (TVC's).

Licensing is a business model for the use of intangible property also known (“IP”) – such as trademarks, patents, industrial designs and copyrights. In children’s product licensing, the property usually consists of one or more entertainment characters – e.g. Spider-Man, the Smurfs, Hello Kitty etc.

Licensed products can offer tailor made and attractive exclusive offers for customers and give greater control of the value chain and improved margins to licensees. Working with Licensor’s helps foster good relationship for businesses that can benefit from strong integrated relationships with licenses who can provide business support

I have worked directly with a number of top licensors, including the leading players like Disney (and its affiliates Marvel and Lucasfilm), Universal, Nickelodeon/Viacom and Sanrio, and I have experience with overseeing teams of designers on the licensing approval process.
